The Harvest Table is a replica of the table often called the farm or kitchen table. It was just a solid top table that could be used for almost anything. It often had one or two drawers where napkins and silverware or other serving utensils were stored. Grandma could roll the pie dough on it and then clean it off with the dishcloth for the farmers to come in for a hot lunch.
Today, many people still like this table for kitchen use, but the drawers are often used for stationery or placemats. If space is available under the table it may have an 18" drawer on each end or on the side.It is not an extension table.
The space required for the drawers is the same space used for the slides on an extension table. The grain usually runs vertically instead of horizontally.Please see drawings for the various options.
